Fall 2024 CSA Details

Our collaborative CSA brings together several decades of growing experience direct to your kitchen table!

For Fall 2024, we are now offering a standard size CSA share for 13 weeks from late September through late December. We’ll send out each week’s share contents by Sunday evening. Members can order available add-on items through our online store each week by Monday at 5pm that will be added to their share each week. For example, want to add an extra kale bunch to your share that week, or add broccoli if we have limited amounts? Order through the online store.

We’ll drop-off your CSA on Wednesdays for pick-up. Please note: This is a change from this past spring! The first pick-up date will be on Sept. 25 and the last pick-up date will be on December 18, consisting of 13 weeks.

Our grow plans for this fall include winter squashes, broccoli, cauliflower, rainbow chard, carrots, beets, hakurei turnips, radishes, cabbage, kale, spinach, baby bok choy, Napa cabbage, head lettuce and salad mix, fennel, and late season plantings of summer favorites like summer squash, zucchini, potatoes, orka, hot peppers and sweet ripe peppers. A few additional crops might be mixed in.

The collaborative CSA this season is composed of Bountiful Acre, Green Heal Farms and Full Plate Farm.

Purchase a Share

***If you are paying by check or cash please email or text us ASAP instead and let us know what share size you are signing up for, your name, email, phone number, pick-up location. We can arrange for payment via mail or in person.***

Let us know if you’d like to pay in installments rather than all at once. We will work with you.

1. ONE SHARE SIZE

Standard Share, $30 each week, totals $390 for 13 weeks. Payable by cash, check or online store. (Online share purchase is $410 to account for credit card fees.)
7-10 items each week, enough for a family of 3-4 or two vegetable lovers
EXAMPLE SHARE – 1 bag salad mix, 2 Little Gem lettuces, 1 bunch baby bok choy, 1 bunch beets, 1 bunch Lacinato kale, 1 bunch rainbow carrots, 1 head of broccoli, 1 head of cauliflower, 1/2 lb sweet Corno di Toro roasting peppers

2. OUR PICK-UP LOCATION

Currently, we are offering the following pick-up locations. When purchasing online at the checkout page with payment, let us know your pickup location in the “Add a note for the seller” box. If purchasing by cash or check, let us know at time of purchase. We’ll confirm everyone’s location before the CSA begins. (Let us know if you’d like to help set-up another pick-up location if you have 5 paying members willing to pickup there.)

Wednesdays—Snow Camp, Green Heal Farms, 9am-5pm during business hours.
Wednesdays—Saxapahaw, Left Bank Butchery, Saxapahaw, 9am-6pm during business hours.
Wednesdays—Durham, location TBD or home delivery with additional fee ($65, or $5 weekly). We will poll early to see which option the majority of customers prefer. A central location can also be negotiated based on a minimum number of shares to that location. Contact us for questions.

3. SHAREHOLDER AGREEMENT

By signing up, you are agreeing to our Shareholder Agreement:

"As a CSA member, I am committing to the full fall season that is 13 weeks long. As an active farm partner, I understand that I will share in the abundances and the setbacks of the season with the farmers. I will be responsible for picking up my share every week. I understand there will be no make-up days this season; however, I can arrange to have a friend pick up in my place or donate my share. Due to the nature of a CSA, we do not offer refunds or cancellations. If you are ever unable to finish out a CSA season, we encourage you to sell your share to a friend or give it as a gift."
